Mt. Bachelor
- A Skier's Paradise
Mt. Bachelor is one of the premier ski resorts in the world. It
features downhill skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing, cross
country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing and more. Skiers and
snowboarders travel here for our quality snow conditions of the

10 chair lifts
and 3683 skiable acres of snow covered real estate. Mt. Bachelor's
halfpipe is really a "SuperPipe", built to Olympic standards at

Mt. Bachelor (43.8-44N, 121.6-121.7W)
is a broad shield volcano
capped by a steep-sided summit cone. It is part of the 25-km-long
Mount Bachelor volcanic chain, which contains numerous scoria cones
with related lava flows and two other shield volcanoes. The chain
covers about 250 km2 and constitutes a total magma volume of 30-50
km3. |

Summer provides a glorious season
of sun and incredible sightseeing experiences at Mt Bachelor. Your
alpine adventure begins with a leisurely ride to the 7560'
mid-mountain level on our Pine Marten Express Lift. Access to the
chair lift is easy, and the ride is fun for all ages.
At mid-mountain, take in the majestic sights of the Three Sisters,
Broken Top and alpine vistas amid the comfort of the Pine Marten
Lodge and it's expansive outdoor decks. Scapolo's Italian Bistro,
our Mile High Barbeque plus snacks and beverages are also available
at the lodge.
Take a hike to a variety of interesting viewpoints at mid-mountain
or at the base of the mountain. Enjoy an interpretive tour with a
member of the U.S. Forest Service or rent a mountain bike and go for
a ride on one of our easy alpine trails at the base of the mountain.
Bachelor Ski and Sport shop is also open with all the latest in
summer gear and apparel.
